These activities happen every day. No bookings or extra fees required.

Extra activities often organised on weekends and school holidays.

At busy times, for our animals welfare, free access to paddocks may be closed to visitors.

Car Parking

All day parking is available in the car park on St Heliers Street. It is free for the first half hour (excluding weekends), then increases incrementally. Pay by cash or card at the pay station in the car park.

0 – 30 mins = free (weekends $2) 
30min – 1 hour = $2 (weekends $3)
1.5 hours = $4
2 hours = $5
2.5 hours = $6
3 hours = $7
3.5 hours = $8
4 hours = $9
4.5 hours = $10

Getting Here

Just 4km from Melbourne’s CBD, there are many ways to get to the The Collingwood Children's Farm. Bike or public transport are great options and let you avoid the traffic on the roads and busy car park. Street parking is limited and on busy days the car park fills quickly.

Bike or walking 

Ride or walk to the Collingwood Children's Farm via the Capital City cycling and walking path which directly passes the site.


Walking time: 10 - 15 minutes

From Victoria Park train station it only takes ten to fifteen minutes walk to reach the Collingwood Children's Farm. Catch a train to Victoria Park Station via the South Morang or Hurstbridge lines from the city. Note: some express services skip Victoria Park station.

Walking directions from train station:
1. From Victoria Park station walk towards Johnston Street.
2. Turn left at Johnston Street (east, away from city).
3. Continue along Johnston Street (approx. 700 metres/10 minutes).
4. Turn right onto Clarke Street – there is a bridge to get you across this busy road! 
5. Turn left onto St Heliers Street.
6. The Farm entrance is at the end of St Heliers Street, through the gates, down the driveway and across the bike path.

Train and bus

From Victoria Park train station there are a couple of buses you can catch that go past the turn off to the Farm. Just turn right at the Johnston Street exit from Victoria Park train station, look for the bus stop and catch a 200 or 207 bus eastwards (away from the city). Hop off at the Clarke Street/Johnston Street (Abbotsford) stop and follow the walking directions above.

Tram and walk

Walking time: 20 – 25 minutes
Catch tram 109, 12 or 48 to Victoria Street/Nicholson Street (Abbotsford)

Walking directions from the tram:
1. Head east on Victoria Street toward Nicholson Street, Abbotsford.
2. Turn left onto Nicholson Street (950 metres).
3. Turn right onto Abbotsford Street (400 metres).
4. Turn right onto Clarke Street (60 metres).
5. Turn left onto St Heliers Street (140 metres).
6. The Farm entrance is at the end of St Heliers Street, through the gates, down the driveway and across the bike path.
