Melbourne’s first farmers’ market started here in October 2002 in part as a revenue and profile raiser for the imminent danger of losing the Children's Farm to a housing development. What started as a small project blossomed quickly into a thriving market thanks to the incredible community determination and significant support from market goers. The farm is no longer in danger, but the market remains to this day!

With between 60 - 70 stall holders attending each award winning market, you will find all the fresh local produce you need. Pick up seasonal fruit and vegetables, bread, eggs, free range meat, dairy and poultry; pasta, jams & preserves, flowers and much more!  

The market is accredited by the Victorian Farmers’ Market Association so you can be sure all our stallholders are the growers and makers of the goods they sell. This means no wholesalers, no big business, and that the profits are going straight back to regional communities.

We're plastic bag free so don’t forget to BYO trolley, basket and bags. 

Entry is $2 per adult. Entry for children is free and you can stay all day.
After 1pm normal Farm entry fees apply.
